We are pleased to announce that we will be running the 5th annual Kingston Celtfest on May 23, 2009 at a new larger venue – Rideau Acres Campground. Please join us this year in our continued efforts to improve and expand the contest.  Support your branch event and earn Eastern Ontario Champion Supreme points!

1. Prize money has been increased this year.
   

2.    No admission will be charged.
   

3.    The contest will commence at 8:30 a.m.  and will finish no later than 6:00 p.m.
   

4.    Bands will participate in a brief closing ceremony, which will include playing several tunes at the halt.
   

5.    Celtfest will again be featuring a beer tent and fish fry.
   

Timetable (tentative):

          Registration  8:00 a.m.

Solo Piping & Drumming Commences  8:30 a.m.

Grade 5 Pipe Band Contest  1:00 p.m.

Grade 4 Pipe Band Medley Contest           2:00 p.m.

Grade 3 Pipe Band Medley Contest           3:00 p.m.

Grade 2 Pipe Band Set Contest  4:00 p.m.

Grade 2 Pipe Band Medley Contest  4:30 p.m.

Closing Ceremony                                5:00 p.m.

Directions:

1.   Exit 401 at Highway 15
   

2.   Follow Highway 15 north 1 mile to Cunningham Road
   

3.   Turn left onto Cunningham Road
